Description
You're looking at a colorful keyboard used with a CMX Systems CMX-3400 (I think) non-linear video editing system from 1979-1980s era. The interface is likely serial, but I'm not sure. They key switches aren't clicky, but they are high-quality Keytronic, I believe. The keyboard is labeled with part number 904156-01 "CMX Keyboard." The jog wheel controller is labeled part number 904613-01, titled "Remote Gismo."
As far as condition is concerned, it's not too bad considering its age. All the keys feel nice when pressed, but the cable is a bit dirty (can be washed), the case has some scratches here and there (see photos), and the removable jog wheel "gismo" controller is missing a switch. A couple rubber feet are missing too. Still, it's amazing this thing has survived this long. These blue beasts are very rare today.
I'm selling it
as-is
because I've never tested it and don't know if it works. I've been storing it in a climate controlled house for at least 20 years, probably longer. I think I got it at a hamfest in the late 1990s or early 2000s. Hope you enjoy it!
By the way, I always pack things so they never get damaged in transit, so rest assured it will arrive safely on your doorstep. Shipping price includes extra packing materials, insurance, and USPS Priority Mail to the US.
