Vtg SIGNED Modernist COWGIRL W. FLOWER Sterling Silver RUBY Pendant Pin Brooch

This is an incredible piece of whimsical sterling silver artisan jewelry. It can be a pendant or a pin. It's BIG, measures 3.5" by 2". The stones test somewhere between a spinel and a ruby on the presidium gem tester. There is a stone in the flower as well that tests as a sapphire. This detail on this piece is incredible when you really look at it. From the stamp work on the clothes to the texture on the dress and the boots and fringe skirt, it's really well done. it is signed on the back SS for sterling silver and 93 for 1993 and an artists signature that is hard to make out. Looks like CANETTE, but I don't think thats an accurate interpretation of the letters because I've not be able to find the artist and their other works.
