Up for sale is a scarce Pennant baseball bat! Would make a nice gift for someone special including yourself! It turns out that this bat was in the same family for over 90 years. It was Grandpa's playground bat. He was from Missouri. Best we can figure is the bat was purchased in 1930's time frame. This is a Pennant #545 Professional Hickory Diamond Playground Wood Baseball Bat. Pennant Bats were apparently made by the same company that later made the Louisville Slugger Bats (see attached images of old newspaper clippings). Based on my research, these bats were made by Hillerich & Bradsby Manufacturing under a private label agreement.

CONDITION NOTE: Used, but in very good overall condition, given its age. There are various cracks, surface scratches, blemishes, and dirt from use (see pictures). Does not include any original packaging or documents and will be packed carefully for shipping.
