Vintage SPALDING Baseball Bat c 1880-1905 "Spalding Trademark" Stamp 35" 36oz
Nice antique SPALDING Baseball bat believed to be from the 1880-1905 period based on the trademark style.  Nice bold branded "SPALDING" logo on the barrel and a stamped "Spalding Trademark" logo on the end of the knob.  (Spalding add an outer ring to the logo in 1905 with "AG Spalding' and "AD 1876")  The bat measures 35" and weighs just over 36 ozs.  There is a crack approx 8" above the knob and some minor grain separation on the barrel end.  Very nice grain and finish on this bat.  Very nice example of an early Spalding bat.  As always, condition grading is subjective.  Please examine photos closely to evaluate condition for yourself.  We are happy to answer questions prior to bidding.  Please see photos for more details
