Vintage aluminum baseball bat Little League 3 Senior League. 32" Length. Condition is Used.
More specifically, this is a Hitters Pride aluminum bat sourced through Airlite Aluminum Corporation and manufactured by Reynolds Aluminum. Aluminum bats were first introduced and approved by Little League Baseball, Inc. in 1971.
This was my personal bat, I probably got it around 1973. There was a big advertising "push" and ads could be seen for these bats in the newspapers of all the major cities in the US. They could be had for .25 under a special promotion that was offered. They were known as "Reynolds Rappers." This one lived a pretty easy life in my bedroom closet, so no dents or chips; it's in pretty good shape as far as the lettering and gold anodizing are concerned. The grip is original to the bat and the rubber is cracked from age, which you can see in the photos.
