Vintage German Swift Schatz Ship Ships bell striking 8 day clock parts repair

Description

Clock is fully wound, but does not run. Strike seems to operate correctly and strikes off correct bell sequence in 4 hour increments. Marked Swift on front, Aug Schatz & Sohne on back. I did not open clock to inspect movement. Being sold as is for parts or repair. Case has quite a bit of tarnish, and nicks and scuffs all over, With a large amount of finish loss on back. Case appears to be brass, and back cover looks to be metal. Door seems a little loose, and glass seems a little loose in frame. Dial has some lite staining, nicks, and scuffs. Rear of case measures 7 1/8th inches across. Main case measures 5 7/8 inches across. Door measures 6 inches across. No key will be included.
