Vintage all original 1930's 1931 rare and hard to find authentically autographed signed John Erskine Golden Age Of Opera operatic music enlarged photograph. This photograph was used on the cover of "The Baton, November And December, 1931" issue as pictured. The Baton magazine is not included in the auction. The photo is from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music from 1922 to 1932. The photo is signed in black pen "With Best Wishes For The Baton, John Erskine, 1931". Erskine was an accomplished composer and musician and served as the first president of the Juilliard School Of Music from 1928 to 1937 and was a director of the Metropolitan Opera Association. The glossy photo measures 8" by 10". The photograph and autograph both are in very good to excellent condition as pictured. I have more photos on auction now and I will be listing many other photos from the estate some signed and some unsigned in the near future.
