To use Tails, shut down the computer and boot from your Tails USB stick instead of booting your computer's native operating system. The Laptop in the pictures is my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro running Tails from one of these drives (Laptop is not for sale). I simply install the USB and hold the option key while powering on the machine. To boot from USB using a PC you must know what key to hold down for your model PC. I do not know if this software will run on Mac running the new Apple Silicone M1 chips. But it will run on almost any intel device. You can temporarily turn your own computer into a secure machine. You can also stay safe while using the computer of somebody else.
