Description
4 - four ounce bottles of Flavoring Concentrateeach bottle of flavoring makes
ONE GALLON
of syrup
for Shaved Ice or Snow Cone
This item is from the line of Flavoring Concentrates that we developed in the 1980's because the cost of freight to ship Ready To Use (RTU) Syrup was, and is, so high. Freight cost (and damage) was also the reason behind product being packaged in plastic instead of heavier glass. This flavoring is good quality with full flavor and the Citric Acid needed for you to serve a product that you will want to reorder.

Mixing Instructions (will be enclosed with your order):
1. Fill a clean gallon container a little over half full with water. (Warm water will dissolve sugar a little quicker.
A gallon jug with cap will make step three easier.
)
2. Pour 5 pounds sugar into the water. (some use 5.25 lbs.)
3. Shake container until sugar is dissolved (Let it sit to see if any solid sugar remains.)
4. Add 4 ounces of Flavor Concentrate (one bottle).
5. Add more water to the container until you have one full gallon.
6. Shake again
Now you have a gallon of Snow Cone / Shave Ice Syrup ready to serve.
Letting your syrup cool will not melt the ice as quickly.
So, what's the difference between Shave Ice and Snow Cone?
Shave Ice is made by dragging a sharp blade across a block of ice. Should you look closely at the shavings this produces, you will see little curls of ice. This is considered a superior product because each little curl can hold a touch of flavor and color for a better looking product. Snow Cone ice is crushed ice, which is easier to produce quickly.
The Syrup you make may also be diluted (5 parts water or carbonated water to 1 part Syrup) for a great drink.
