Simple Instructions:
1)
Turn on or restart your Mac.
2)
Press and hold the
Option/Alt
key immediately upon hearing the startup chime. Release the key after Startup Manager appears. Startup Manager will scan and list connected drives and volumes that can be booted from.
3)
Highlight the USB install volume by using your mouse or trackpad, or left and right arrow keys on the keyboard.
4)
Double-click or press the Return/Enter key to boot your Mac from the selected volume.
Please contact me *before* purchasing if you want to know if a particular OS will work with your hardware. It will show you your Mac model if you can get to a terminal window (command prompt) type
sysctl hw.model
Note: the OS is a free download from Apple. I am not selling the OS, simply just the physical drive.
