Description
This
rare bat
was recently acquired at an estate auction of a longtime collector in Western Illinois.
It is appealing, desirable & collectible.
B.F. Goodrich wanted to develop new applications of their vulcanized rubber technology. The tire company began experimenting with rubber’s pediatric applications in the 1920s. They develped the iconic P.F. Flyer sports shoe. The “P.F.” in PF Flyers stands for “Posture Foundation,” a patented insole technology developed by Goodrich associate, Hyman L. Whitman.
We present this piece exactly as it was when acquired. No attempts to clean this item have been made. This old bat does show some wear as seen in the photos. It is 33" long. This will make a fine addition to any home or collection
