The Railway Express Agency was formed in 1929 by merging of the American Railway Express, the American Express and the Adams Express. This style was the first style of REA badge issued in 1929.  The words “Railway” and “Agency” are in black with the word “Express” in white.  This design was in use for one year only. In 1930, the lettering was changed to all white lettering.
Measurements: Appx. 2 in. 2 in.
Item Condition: Vintage, pre-owned condition, an item that has been used/worn previously.
Expect scuffs, scrapes, scratches, oxidation, tarnish, green specks, dust, grime and old
polish residue in crevices. Badg has not been polished recently in order to preserve the
vintage patina. Other defects due to the manufacturing process may be present.
