    -FAYETTE COUNCIL, AS A SCOUT IN TROOP 5, SPONSORED BY ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, R. C. CHURCH.
    HE WAS A MEMBER OF OA LODGE 6 WAGION. AS A YOUTH, ATTENDED THE 1955 8TH WORLD JAMBOREE
    AT NIAGARA ON THE LAKE IN ONTARIO CANADA, AND WAS ON STAFF AT
    CAMP CONESTOGA. HE EARNED
    HIS EAGLE SCOUT, AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH RELIGIOUS
    AWARD AD ALTARE DEI. UPON COMPLETTING
    HIS PhD IN 1970, HE ACCEPTED A POSITION AT UNIVERSITY OF WEST VIGINIA, AND BECAME ACTIVE IN THE
    MOUNTAINEER AREA COUNCIL.HE WAS A VIGIL HONOR MEMBER OF LODGE 550 MENAWNGIHELLA, AND
    SERVED AS THE LODGE ADVISIOR, AND CENTURY CLUB MEMBER. HE WAS ON THE EXECUTIVE BOARD FOR
    THE MOUNTAINEER AREA COUNCIL, AND WAS AWARDED THE SILVER BEAVER IN 1978. JOE THEN CONTINUED
    HIS SCOUTING CAREER IN
    THE NORTHERN NEW JERSEY COUNCIL, AND
    OA LODGE 9
    LENAPEHOKING. AFTER
    ACCEPTING A  POSITION AT SEATON HALL U, HE HELPED OBTAIN A CHARTER FOR VENTURE CREW # 1856 AT

    JOE REALLY ENJOYED SCOUTING, AND THE FRIENDSHIPS HE MADE TRADING AND
