  • Player: Pete Rose
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Vintage: Yes
  • Year: 1970's
  • Team: Cincinnati Reds
  • Condition: Very nice condition overall but the bat does have some dings on the barrel around the Pete Rose stamped name and more below that. Also, a couple above the Rose name. So, someone was hitting this against something. I took an extra picture that hopefully will show these dings. Not cracked, nice readable stamping and nice light color still on the bat. See pictures.

    Description

This auction is for a pretty nice vintage Pete Rose 16" model 125 mini baseball bat that is a Louisville Slugger and from the time period when the H&B or Hillerich and Bradsby logo was still being used on the bats (for regular bats this was prior to 1980 and I'm assuming the switch on mini bats was around the same time). This H&B model is earlier and sometimes rarer than the later Louisville Slugger logo mini bats.
Very nice condition overall but the bat does have some dings on the barrel around the Pete Rose stamped name and more below that. Also, a couple above the Rose name. Pete Rose played 24 seasons (1963-1986) in the Major Leagues and is mainly remembered for his 19 seasons playing for the Cincinnati Reds in 2 different time periods. He is the All-Time hit leader with 4,256 hits. But he is not yet in the MLB Hall of Fame due to gambling issues.  He was an outfielder and later a first baseman and a 17 time All-Star. He later played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Montreal Expos. He led the NL in batting average 3 times. He played in 6 World Series winning it all 3 times (with the Reds in 1975 and 1976 and with the Phillies in 1980). He has a career .303 batting average.
I have numerous other vintage H&B era 16" mini baseball bats on auctions on eBay this week. I enjoy multiple orders and if you win more than one bat, I will adjust the shipping to account for the combined shipping or issue you a refund if you pay for the bats in advance of receiving a combined invoice.
I prefer USPS Priority Mail even though it cost a bit more than the Ground Advantage shipping.
