This Robot was used for 2 jobs! It has maybe 40 hours on it. I always thought I would get more production work but as a custom shop it never developed. This machine was originally from a GM plant in Ontario that had very low hours (less than 500) when the plant shut down. (1990 ?) It was serviced and rebuilt by JCD robotics. It is a point to point robot meaning that you cannot program it with the current controller in 3D space. A new controller could be added and it would be like new. The arm runs FULL sized 40lb steel wire spools, not the dinky 3lb ones other sell. I think I paid upwards of K for this machine.
At this point I am not going to ever run this again. I did run both Steel (plain carbon) and Aluminum (6061) on this machine.
It is mounted on a very large steel plate which makes it easier to move and gives you a way to level it once you get to running. Comes with all the manuals and the teach pendant.
