Max Nass Signed Sterling Pendant and Chain Modernist MCM

Description

Pretty fabulous neckpiece by New York modernist jeweler, Max Nass in an abstract motif. This feels like it is from the Beatnik era where ethnic clothes were often worn. There are tubes of sterling in two different sizes, some solid, some hollow. Four dangly pieces hang from the blackened 'shield' that houses the tubes. Dog bone style sterling chain, also blackened, is integral to the piece, but I suppose you could remove it and replace it with a chain or cord of your choice. In total, the piece is 18 1/4" in length, end to end. Excellent condition with minor scratches and signs of use. Check pics as they are part of the description.
