    Description

    Autographed 5” x 7” double-weight matte, Apers of Paris, reverse blind stamped arte nouveau style photograph of the French soprano.
    Another wonderful French singer, made her debut in Nice in 1922 and first sung at the Paris Opera in 1923.  A lyrico spinto she sung roles from Aida, to Thais to Liu in Turandot.  She retired from the opera stage in 1934 and the concert stage in 1949.  Taught singing in Bordeaux like Germaine Pape until her death in 1962.
    Rare and legendary recordings, including as Micaela with Georges Thill and Raymonde Visconti in Carmen and a live recording of Pelleas et Melisande form 1928.
