Description
This is an early round, cantileveredJUDITH JACK
sterling silver six layer coiled-up brooch, the entire front encrusted with shiny marcasites and teeny-tiny sterling silver beads. Also, you see a VERY large teardrop-shaped faux pearl hanging from the brooch. Refer to first three photos included with this listing. The brooch looks very much like something ART NOUVEAU-ish, as this jewelry designer is famous for producing fine intricate sterling silver jewelry with marcasites reminiscent of the Victorian period. Be sure to view all photos included with this listing.
The brooch was made in the United States & it weighs in at 0.8 ounces or 22 grams on my postal scale. The round layered brooch itself measures 1½ in diameter. And, when you include the hanging teardrop faux pearl, the entire piece is about 2½" long. It's signed
STERLING
on the underside, preceded by the iconic
Judith Jack
signature or logo - two identical etched
Js
, each within an equilateral triangle. You can see this logo in the eighth or last photo with this listing.
Overall condition is
EXCELLENT
. Everything is just fine on this, NO damage, NO missing or broken stones. You can begin wearing this brooch as soon as you remove it from it's wrappings.
