Description
These one-of-a-kind lamps are perfect fits for a room or man cave with a baseball decor. One lamp features a Ken Griffey Jr. model Louisville Slugger 125 P72 bat and the other one showcases a Johnny Bench Louisville Slugger 125 R43. The bats are original. The knobs at the top of the lamps are generic. At the base of the lamps are gold-plated gloves that serve as baseball holders. The finished dark wood bases in the shape of home plate add beauty as well as sturdiness to the lamps. The lamps were created in 1990 in the woodwork shop of Kermit Kiecker, the father of former Boston Red Sox pitcher Dana Kiecker. The very few that were made went to friends and family. The lamps were made with proper electrical components and are fully operational.
The lamps are being auctioned without shades, but the shades shown in the photos will be available to the winning bidder at a price of 10 percent of the winning bid. The lamps will be shipped via FedEx. If the original shades are purchased, they'll be shipped separately at cost. The lamps stand 32 inches tall. The bats have been well preserved with lacquer to shine in the light from above.
