Polish American pianist, composer, teacher and inventor
Only private student of Anton Rubinstein
Was first head of the piano department at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
Became the institutes director from 1927-1938.
This is a Josef Hofmann signed, 8" X 10" black and white glossy photograph, inscribed to

Born Gertrude Angela Kohnstamm: An English actor-manager, artist who played Rosalind in, As You Like It and Lady Mc Beth.
