Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde - Authentic Signature
The story of these signatures:
back in the mid 90's I had a picture framing business and came into contact with Johnette on AOL (yes, America On Line) and told her about my framing business. She mentioned she liked to decorate frames and asked if I wanted to try selling some in my shop. Over time I would make up frames from my scrap picture frame moulding and ship her the frames, this is when she lived in Silverlake, California. She would decorate them and ship them back or I would come by her place and pick them up (I lived about 4 hours north of her). I wanted to provide a certificate of authentication to go with the frames, so I made up these certificate cards (using a skeleton pattern Johnette had drawn up) and had Johnette sign them all in advance so I would have them on hand as the frames sold. I sold her frames on a website for a time and then we stopped doing it at some point. I recently came across all these signed cards I stilled have and thought I would offer them to fans who may want to have her signature.
I've included two photos of myself with Johnette - the first one being from the time I was selling her decorated frames, posing with her by her Volkswagon "Thing" at her place in Silvelake and the second photo later on from an art show she did up in Stockton, California.
Please note: Johnette signed some with her full name "Johnette Napolitano" and others just "Johnette". I have included photos of some of them - you can let me know if you would prefer her full name or just Johnette. I have some of each, but they are limited and I may run out of one or the other depending on demand. I am pricing them to be affordable for folks and the price includes free shipping in the U.S.
