STUNNING 1985 Modernist AARON RUBINSTEIN Sterling Silver TOPAZ Pendant Necklace. Aaron Rubinstein is a renown creator of handmade jewelry. His works sell for thousands of dollars and is highly sought after. There is a great article/interview with Aaron on the Modern Silver website. Aaron often makes BIG jewelry that makes a STATEMENT and this pendant does not disappoint. The stone alone is 1.25" by just over 1" by 5/8" thick. we estimated the carat weight using a tool and it came out to over 90 carats! We purchased it as Smokey Topaz, could be Smokey quartz or another type. Aaron only used top quality materials, however, so rest assured it's a beautiful stone. The entire pendant setting measures 3.25" by 2" and the chain measures 26" from end to end when laid flat. Signed and dated 1985. We also have a matching cocktail ring with a slightly bigger stone (if you can believe that) that will be listed in addition to the necklace. To get a stone of this quality and this many carat would cost more than the cost of this necklace alone these days. Incredible investment opportunity.
