    Description

    One HAIRSPRING for a balance wheel for the smaller WWII Hamilton Navy Ship's chronometer/deck watch.  It is seen as both a deck watch and as a gymboled movement in a tub inside a wooden box.  The Hamilton model 22 deck watch/chronometer is a fantastic timepiece and was used on many Navy ships as a secondary timepiece.  The COMPETE wheel is shown for reference ONLY.  The movement is a lever escapement and this HAIRSPRING is not for the larger spring detent escapement Model 21. This hairspring is from an old watchmaker's estate who used to repair these for the military.
    We have repaired many of these old chronometers, but are now semi-retired.  This part has been used, but has been inspected  and is in good condition.
