Eagle Mfg. Doohickey - Balancer Idle Lever & Spring Upgrade
The Eagle Mfg. idle-shaft lever and spring replaces the "weak" stock unit that often fails on KLR 650 motorcycles. KLR650’s have been known to have problems with the stock idle lever ("doohickey") needed to keep tension on the balancer chain. There are weaknesses with both the stock spring and the stock idle lever. Failure of either part can destroy the engine. The Eagle Mfg. Doohickey solves this problem with a better design and by being made with stronger materials.

One-piece-design lever is Machined from 17-4PH hardened, stainless-steel to be incredibly strong.
Includes stainless steel idle lever (doohickey) and two differing length coil springs (to fit all KLR650 years)

Eagle Mfg. Doohickey Torsion Spring
This an alternate spring that can replace the coil spring that comes with the Eagle Mfg. Doohickey (idle lever). While the coil spring that comes with the Doohickey is good, some people prefer the direct tension the torsion spring gives to the Doohickey (the coil spring connects to a small stock lever behind the Doohickey).
The Eagle Mfg. torsion Spring is an "upgrade" for the Eagle Mfg. Doohickey (idle lever).
This alternate spring replaces the coil spring that comes with the Doohickey.
