    Description

    Autographed 8" x 10" photograph of the great American bass, 1973.  He writes "to a fellow nutmeger".
    A nutmeger is someone who lives in Connecticut, where Gramm resided.  Gramm died of a heart attack as the age of 56, 2 days after the conclusion of a run of performances as Overeso in Norma in Boston.  He was one of the busiest bassos in the business at the time and sung with the MET from 1964, until his death in 1983.
