    Description

Deneen Pottery Mug, Historic Cashtown Inn Gettyburg PA.
No chips or cracks.  Great condition.
    From Wikipedia:
    During the
    Gettysburg Campaign
, the inn became the headquarters for many
    Confederate
    officers and staff, including Generals
    A. P. Hill
    ,
    John D. Imboden
    , and
    Henry Heth
. The basement also served as a field hospital during the battle, and it is said that so many amputations were performed, that the limbs piled up outside blocked any sunlight from coming in the cellar window.
    From Deneen Pottery:
Each mug is individually hand-thrown and touched by over 24 pairs of hands.
Peter and Mary Deneen started Deneen Pottery in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1972 in their two-car garage. Today, our team of over 50 skilled craftspeople handcraft each mug so no two are exactly alike.
