    Description

1987 Bo Jackson Kansas City Royals Rookie Bat –Louisville Slugger Model S44 with a Hornsby finish and gold lettering. This is one of the prized items that I have had in my collection for over 25 years...I have had it in a special display cube for over 20 years which features his Rookie jersey and hat along with a picture I took of him during his Rookie season at Royals Stadium. This is an incredible opportunity to own a Bo game used Rookie bat. Only 12 S44 bats with this finish were ever ordered by Bo during his MLB career. See a copy of his orders from Louisville Slugger in pics. The knob has Jackson’s number 16 written in silver Sharpie. The bat is solid – no cracks and the barrel shows ball marks & scuffs. I have been collecting Bo items since the mid 80’s and have amassed quite a collection. It has been featured in various newspapers, publications and locations. Some of these include the front page of the Opelika Auburn News, Barnstorming, Sports Collectors Digest and The War Eagle Reader. I was once invited to put up a display inside the Auburn Athletic Museum on the weekend of the Georgia game in 1992, the day Bo was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, and again in 1993 for the Grand Opening of James Snell Motors in Opelika.
