For stock or high performance, S&S hydraulic tappets offer significant design improvements to withstand the forces, reduce the stress, and solve the possibility of oil starvation. S&S hydraulic tappets feature larger inner bearing races, an improved inner race-roller design, a redesigned and stronger plunger assembly, and revised metering devices for precise oil delivery control. Each lifter body and plunger assembly is hand-fit and then pressure-tested to insure correct operation. Choose the better features of S&S hydraulic tappets for better performance.

These tappets feature numerous significant design improvements and are perfect for stock replacement as well as high performance applications.
Larger inner bearing race reduces stresses to increase axle, bearing, and roller life.
The S&S inner bearing race is .123" larger in diameter than the "raceless" roller axles currently used by some manufacturers.
Improved inner race-roller design allows use of more, and larger bearings to increase load-carrying surface area, further reducing stress and wear in the critical roller area.
Redesigned plunger assembly better withstands forces associated with heavy-duty valve springs and cams typically used in high-performance applications.
Revised metering device precisely controls oil delivery to top end, insuring rapid lifter pump-up and reducing possibility of oil starvation to bottom end.
Each lifter body and plunger assembly is hand-fit and then pressure-tested to insure correct operation.

We have been selling Big Dog Motorcycle parts on ebay since 2003. We started as the original Big Dog factory liquidation outlet, then progressed to the exclusive contract buyer for all surplus parts from the factory including new overstock.
When the company was foreclosed on in 2013, we purchased the remaining inventory and all of the original tooling from the bank. Since then, we have continued to manufacture new Big Dog Motorcycle parts with most of the original vendors using factory O.E.M. specs and materials.
