Antique Seth Thomas Sons Locomotive / Ships Chronometer / Time Only Clock C 1875

For your consideration, A Seth Thomas Sons & Co NY Locomotive or Marine 30 hour chronometer. Running strong and keeping time. It has a porcelain dial with seconds bit, roman numerals and original spade hands. There is chipping around the winding and s/f adjustment ports and a deep scratch on the glass @ 8:00 as shown. Movement appears to be of Hotchkiss design, runs well but should be serviced. Dimensions: bezel 5 1/2", flange 6" & depth 2 1/2"" approx.. Heavy brass case with hinged bezel, hinged latch and engraved with the original owners name: " Con McEwen Sandusky, O.". There is a small access port on the side at 12:00. Condition: areas of wear consistent with honest age and use. ST Sons produced high grade clocks from 1865-1880 and made few chronometers.  Very nice. Please see all photographs.
