    Description

Four vintage all original 1920's to 1950's Golden Age Of Opera operatic authentically autographed, signed, inscribed photographs. The signed photos are from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music from 1922 to 1932. One small 1920's/1930's matte finish sepia-style photo measuring 4" by 5 1/2" of a man in a derby hat. The signature is hard to make out. I don't know who he is. A corner of the photo is missing as pictured. One late 1940's glossy 8" by 10" photograph signed "To Dorothy Crowthers, .....". The photo is marked "Louis Melancon". Louis Melancon was the house photographer at the Metropolitan Opera from 1947-1950. I do not know who the opera star is in the Robin Hood costume. The promo promotional photograph and signature are in excellent condition and display beautifully. One 1940's glossy 8" by 10" photograph signed "To Dorothy Affectionately, .....". The photo is marked "Portrait By Please Credit Comini". I do not know who the opera star is. The promo promotional photograph and signature are in excellent condition and display beautifully. One 1950's glossy 8" by 10" photograph signed "To Our Dorothy, Complete With Love And Kisses, Jan, Lisa & David, Dec., 1955". I do not know who the opera star is.
