    Description

    Four vintage all original 1910's/1920's/1930's Golden Age Of Opera operatic music Elisabeth Rethberg promo promotional photographs with one autographed signed inscribed. The photos are from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music. Rethberg was a German operatic soprano singer at the Met Metropolitan Opera from 1922-1942. The photo with the signature autograph inscription is a matte-type sepia finish postcard measuring 3 3/8" by 5 7/16" signed "Most Cordially, Elisabeth Rethberg". The post card is marked "Elisabeth Rethberg, Fernand de Gueldie, Chicago, Phot., 'Ross' B. V. G. Berlin SW68, Made In Germany". The autograph and postcard are in excellent near mint condition. One 5" by 7" glossy photo of Rethberg near a piano. The photo is embossed at the bottom right hand corner "Ursula Richter, Dresden, Winckelmannstr. 29.". The back is stamped with
    "Photogr. Urheber: Ursula Richter, Dresden - A. 24, Winckelmannstr. 29, Phot.: Ursula Richter". It is in excellent near mint condition.
    One glossy 8" by 10" photo marked "Fernand de Gueldie, Chicago" in very good to excellent condition. One 9 5/8" by 7 1/2" matte finish boudoir photo embossed at bottom right "Charles H. Davis, N. Y.". The photo is in excellent near mint condition. I will be listing many other photos from the estate some signed and some unsigned in the near future.
