    Description

This Doerr Type bat dates to the earliest known Adirondack labeling period, 1946 to 1950. This is established by the presence of the model number outside the center label to the bottom right side. Bobby Doerr led all hitters in the 1946 World Series batting .409 for the series. This bat is in great condition at 35" long, not cracked, no checking and the knob is fully intact. Most of the gold or silver stamping remains. The knob was painted red long ago and adds an interesting detail to the piece. The Boston Red Sox great is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Great addition for any Red Sox collector. Inquiries welcome.
