    This is a publicity photo and signature of Alfred Piccaver, an English tenor who had a very popular career in Europe (especially Vienna) in the early 20th century. The photo is by the Springer studio in Vienna, and Piccaver's signature is dated 1927. There is a tear affecting the date (see photo). Please see my other opera listings.
